【Test】Testing the new design power strip - waterproof, shockproof, fireproof

Published on March 13, 2024

Testing standards: The purpose of this test is to verify the waterproof, safety, and fireproof performance of the power strip, ensuring the product meets user needs and provides optimal safety. (This test is conducted by professionals in a safety laboratory.)

Test Item 1: 防水

Waterproof Test: Pour water onto the power strip while it is in normal operation, allow the water to flow and impact the surface, and flow to the ground.

Result: The power strip works normally. After turning off the switch and turning it back on, the light still stays on.

Analysis: The internal special waterproof compartment structure can prevent splashing water and water flow from interfering with the internal circuits. There are drainage holes at the bottom to facilitate water drainage. The rubber cover over the switch adds extra safety. The product possesses an IPX6 waterproof rating performance, but its principle indicates that the product can only resist splashing water and water flow; it cannot be fully submerged in water.

Test Item 2: 防触

Safety Test: Attempt to insert non-standard plugs, forks, screwdrivers, and other items into the power strip sockets.

Result: No electric current, the power strip works normally, and there is no risk of electric shock to humans.

Analysis: Due to the safety lock structure of the power strip, only standard plugs can conduct electricity, effectively preventing foreign objects from accidentally touching the electric current and causing safety hazards.

Test Item 3: 防火

Fire Resistance Test: The power strip, made of flame-retardant materials, will undergo a combustion test.

Result: The power strip does not burn or spread flames when exposed to fire.

Analysis: By using a flame-retardant material for the casing, this fire-resistant design provides higher safety assurance for homes and offices, making it a reliable choice for power outlets.
